  • I didn't say there are any mistakes. The design is refined to the desired specifications of the author(s) and there is nothing wrong with it. It is entirely my problem that I want it to do somehow different, and there is no guarantee you'd like my mods. For example, I'd want it to have a much slower motion response, yet it takes quite long till it stabilises (if ever) and most people would not like it at all.

    • thanks Daver

i'll work on it to find problems by myself

Im going to build a DD coil and test it and put results here

      • Yes, that's a perfect start.

        • Hi everyone,
I noticed, that in the latest versions (ver. 2.0 and 3.0) of the scheme are added some components, missing in the initial versions:
          Q8, R42, R43, R44, C25

What is the purpose of these elements - to maintain the threshold to be calm or...?
Since do not have the opportunity at the moment to experiment this circuit topology of this type of schemes but I am curious about this and I'd like to comment on it... What are your opinions?Click image for larger version

          • Those are for soft limiting (Q and bias. The oscillator provides triangular wave, so the comparator ON periods are affected with signal voltage, as dictated by bias and threshold controls.

            • hi

I build the pcb eduardo1979 put in page 17 (S.M.W.555.zip)

but when i turn S.M.W i have just noise in speaker and volumes not working

the amplitude is just working and when i turning it; the noise is going to down

i use BD140 in replace of bd135 (the back of BD140 is Side to 479U and Forward of it is side to 7809 regulator)

              can anybody help me please...

The BD140 can not be replaced by a BD135, because they are two different transistors. BD140 is PNP, BD135 is NPN.

                • can i use BD139 for replace of bd135?

                  what is EBC of it?

Yes, you can! EBC to 135 are the same as in the 139.

                            • Smity.
                              Very good job.
What is the version of SMW, you're using?
I want to build this project later. Here we have heat waves of 40, 45 degrees.
                              thanks
