Q1,Q2 and Q3 are BC327/40. Try to sellect those between dozen. hFe should be from 250-320 for really good performances. Try to match hFe on all 3 transistors. For Q6 find BC327 with hFe>300

C2 is not 0.1! It should be 33uF/16 tantalum, minus on Q3 base...!

Ahahahah! I would'nt be so stupid to claim such claims based only on air tests. One of those handmades is regular "member" of my prospecting equipment for over the 8 months. Hardly tested on numerous terrains already. Had deepest finds with it so far, among all detectors i had in my "career".
It is tested and checked in all possible manners and on all possible (available) soils so far. Four words - Excellent heavy duty machine!

Like i said; 25cm DD coil for Musketeer is my basic coil for this detector. I also have Excellerator DD 32cm and 36cm coils. Those 3 coils are tested.

I named this detector "Serbian most wanted" just for joking. Actually it has no name yet. One of the first from my colleagues who started to make this detector named it "Caesar", so it is better known under that name. I didn't want to copy that name so i named it SMW...just for fun. It is famous among serbian prospectors. Few colleague amateurs are already making this detector here in Serbia. I started to make it almost as last interested, recently. Before i ever got any interest for this handmade i had chance to see some of handmades made by my colleagues. Some of those were pretty descent and some of those not. So i was itched to experiment a bit with this. At those handmades i did'nt liked handmade coils at all. So i decided to experiment with original coils. At the time i had only Musketeer coil to try with it.
Nowdays i have Fisher 1266 coils too. So i intend to adapt it also to work with Fisher coils. Easy task.

If you read this thread from the first post you will notice how my mood upon this detector changed!
That's because my first experience with it was very bad! It needed much of effort and hours of experimenting and modding to shape it and make it to work very good. Progress... Work,work and nothing but the work! Plain talks leads to nowhere...

Oh no! It was not me! I just randomly founded that video. I don't know who is that guy on video. Also "Caesar" from video clip is the one of "standard" models. Not improved. As you can see it has handmade 28cm DD coil (bulgarian coil housing).
It is not my video and i don't know that guy. Just thought it would be interesting to post link here. Somebody already used both names there ; "Caesar - serbian most wanted"...!!!
