It's been a long time since you posted this thread. How did you solved the problem? I got a JW Fishers Pulse 12 working box but I don't have the fish. I would like to buy a used fish for it. A brand new is out of my plans. Any idea?

That's bad. Well, I live in Santa Catarina, Brazil. Do you know if your coil for the Pulse 10 work with my Pulse 12?

            Hi,
I have a pulse 10 box and I have a pulse 12 system. It has been a few years since I looked at that stuff, but off the top of my head I seem to recall that there are big differences. In the pulse 12, the pulsing electronics for the coil and first amplifier stage are in a little container with the fish and coil. This allows them to reduce the cable capacitance and therefor have a shorter pulse delay resulting in a better detection depth. I have an older pulse 10 box than what is currently being sold and on that unit, all the electronics are contained in the box. It might be that the newer pulse 10 separates the front end electronics as well. Good luck,

            Boattow

              Hi Boattow,

Thank you. I also believe that there are differences.

Well, if you have a pulse 10 for sale maybe FISHEYE could do business with you.

The pulse 10 fish an cable i have has a coax connector on the end of the cable thats 2 wire. The pulse 12 a military style connector thats 8 pin.So the coil and caable from the pulse 10 wont work with the pulse 12.

Boattow can you email pics of the pulse 10 box you have?

                              Hi Fisheye,

thanks for posting the PCB images. Is it possible to upload also an image where you can see the PCB tracks on the bottom of the printed circuit board? And it would be good to have a short list of the used IC's and transistors to evaluate the circuit better. But from the images of what I can already see is, that the JW Fisher Pulse 10 circuit is a more simple standard PI circuit.
