This was my detector that I modded. It was an Silver Sabre Plus Umax.
I did have a post here detailing what I did. I don't have the original wiring diagram anymore but, it wasn't that hard. The ground balance knob was a 10 turn off a Tejon. Added a second disc. pot and wired a second toggle switch to switch just switched disc. from one pot to the other disc. pot. The 1-2 disc toggle was wired into the all metal/disc. toggle. The other toggle was wired into the pinpoint button. On the stock unit the pinpoint switch would switch to all metal mode for pinpointing. So the toggle was wired so it would switch it and hold that postion.
I really did not make any changes to the circut board, just added a few bells and whistles with extra wires, switches and pots.
It was a real tight fit inside the housing, so extra care was needed in routing wires......
The decal used on the housing was made using Adobe Photoshop. I then took it to my local Kinko's had had them make me a decal.
The machine worked great. I was able to fine tune out hot rocks. There are areas down here in Ga that are loaded with them.
