Hi

Can multitone be used in DISC mode or its stectly conected witch NOTCH filter?I still cant understand the NOTCH on my normal TGS!
I now that I can use it for rejecting some unwonted ithems,but the depth decrise!
I cant get why there is acc/rejj when you have notch on/off and pot to control it?Still cant get.Damn...

"Heavymineralized ground" is problem, I believe it will decrease depth, but I dont test it except our wet "brnenska vyvrelina" ground - this ground is problem for IB same as for PI, I spend many hours with PI to eliminate it (PI is resistant to soil and mineralized ground, but with my new high sensitive PI detector I can measure soil composition and conductivity of ground too. Its make me crazy, I dont want to be a geologist...)

Can I use for conection of coil and detector 2 separate shielded wires?

No, use 4 separate shielded wire, shield connect only to alu-stripes and to ground of detector. Dont use "jack" or DIN connector, use for example 15-pin CANON or another good connector.

Connect it near the RX pre-amp, it is not critical.

May be it is crazy to use shilded wire for one of TX signal, which is grounded too, but I wrote about it here.

Here is raining too.

Every stripes is interconnected to one point and to shiled of cable. You dont need to use insulated shileds / full separated cable. Use some profi microphonic cable with separate shielded wires, but shields of wires is not insulated.

p.s.I now that you have explained to me several time but I sill cant get it.I will try!But cant get it 4 shields for 1 signal.Now it make a sense because with tis wire all shields are forming one!But this is equal to 4 separetly shielded wires?

Its OK - this separate shields "shielding" all wires with each other, but all shield is on same potencials in every points, thats why to can be connected (not insulated with each other). Separated/insulated shields dont have any sense, but can work too.

Second function of shield is make coil on same potencial as cable, thats why is shield of coil connected to shield of cable.

Why ? Notch filter have greater gain than normal channels and its working as second discrimination channel - so it cannot decrease a depth. You can search in all-metal, disc or notch mode and depth will be same. If not, something is wrong.

I think that in original TGS schematics is one error - notch "accept" cannot work corectly (in my opinion), I have solved it in my detector, its working fine.
