Sorry dear aft 72005, I thought you know that XR71 circuit is "exactly the same" circuit as Deltapulse. Only one resistor value differs -> that changes frequency. Geo wrote this many times.

I see. Sorry cant help you with this..
what a mess with sniffers there are:
>sniffer< IB MD
>sniffer xr-71< aka >deltapulse< PI MD
>sniffer xr-7< never heard of...
...is this one predecessor of xr-71?
or is it IB metal detector? or just misspelling?

I had Sniffer XR-7 on service, last sumer. It is nothing else but DBP2010!?
Why "Sniffer X R-7"??? I really dont know.
If you take closer look you can see sticky label on it...
Might be some "independent" manufacturer?

Mr. Ivconic , I was told that the Sniffer XR-7 and XR-71 was 99% similar to Delta-Pulse. The photo you show looks more like DBP-2010 with that power transistor on the right. Nice if you can carefully bake and crack the plastic case , then you will know for sure. Take care Eugene

??? I already posted it is DBP2010! Didnt I???
No i can not destroy plastic case, simply it is not my device and it is returned to owner already.
DBP schematic and whole project is already posted here on this forum. Use search and you will find it. I made DBP2010 according to posted project and it is working fine. There are few intentional mistakes there, also already corrected.

It is pretty descent PI detector. But it is bit obsolete too. I choosed Delta Pulse as my main PI detector, it is better, much better signal control and better performances. But if you have enough spare time, i suggest you to build this one too. Good for educational purposes.

Ihave built this DBP2010 some years ago.
It has never worked as it should.I have verified everything many times, including known errors.
I think there may be something wrong near the 556 IC, and the only time it worked was when i changed a resistor close to it.
I send here a picture of the PCB, if you see something wrong please let me know.I am finsihing the Delta pusle now, but i would like to understant what happened withi this 2010...
