  • Cscope 2MX

I have these scans from Cscope 2MX pcb. It is double sided pcb.
I am not in condition to spend so much time infront of my pc to clean and retrace those. Anyone have good will to make proper, clean pcb file from those? Any format will do; Sprint Layout, DXP,Eagle,PCB Express,CAD...
Or just simple .bmp, .tiff,.jpg or .cdr...
I do know a little about this Cscope 2MX. Yet, as i already have very good experiences with much older Cscope models, do beleive it is very nice machine and worth of making it.Most important part for me is correct pcb, so i got it!Hurrah!
If some of you have this device, be free to post your experiences with it.
Components placement and bil i intend to post soon. I have those on paper but not scanned yet. My scanner died long time ago so i will need to visit a friend and use his scanner...
It will be also very good if someone of you have schematic and post it here...
Let's start new project here. I do have strong feeling that this 2MX is very good detector!
    Regards!

Thank you ivconic , also many thanks from Mrand , another clear and
Good reverse Engineering from W.laher .
Ivconic, are you know about sensitively? For 2cm coin in air and ground .
          Regards.

Bill Lahr certainly has traced out a lot of circuits, eh?

              Lahr

Carl you are right, William Lahr has made a lot schematics that we all use ...
Think he also made some good PI detectors !

              Thanks to Mr. Lahr !!!

                Thanks to mr.Lahr! Yes indeed.
Also showed those traceouts are accurate, correct. TGS turns to be my favorite handmade. Thanks to Lahr's traceout.
I always wanted to ask, but hesitste,is there collection of all his traceouts, at one place? So far i collected Tesoros's and dozen others. This is first Cscope schematic i got complete and clear. I presume must be there more schematics? Personally i am very satisfied with Tesoro schematics. TGS already made,SS already made. Intend to make Royal Sabre and Lobo this year. But i am also interested in Minelab schematics and of course Cscope's too.

                      Coil Cscope

In the past I made some coils for use on the Cscope minidisc, it uses a Hartley type oscilator : for the transmitter 70 turns with a center tap that is connected to ground.(35 grnd 35) For the receiver also 70 turns. Data is for a DD coil from 20 cm. the wire I used was 0.30mm. The freq is between 17 kHz and 19kHz. Adjust the frec with Caps. Sheeld is alufoil as usial.
You need a scope for coil nulling.
The cscope minidisc is a starters (childeren) detector but with a larger coil 20 cm instead 15cm it is a nice detecor that is easy to use.
Think that the coil will also work for the CS2MX but don't know for sure...!

                      Best regards

                      Ap

Thx ApBerg, are you use a OO coil. About frec. why 17kHz is not it better to use a 5-8kHz

I played a bit with those pcb patterns.
Didn't finished front panel part because it is not so important, having just few components.
                              Maybe will do in future.
But, while working on this i noticed that it is not the one that correlates with available schematic?!
                              It is some "CS2-MX3" model!?
I searched through the internet and didn't find anything like that.
There are "CS2M" and "CS2-5MX" models mentioned on manufacturers site, but not this one.
Is there any chance someone to know more details about this one?
