    • Hello Star
The question is whether SD 2000 can reject fine steel

      • Hi! GB is configured, is this when there is a minimum voltage in front of the 2.2 uF capacitors? or how to make an automatic GB on the sd2000?

              • I assembled the sd2000, but unfortunately it is very weak and barely captures metal, knowing that I replaced
                lm394 by ssm2212.
                tlc074 by tl074.
                ca3083 by 5 normal transistors.
i had the coil made with a litz wire 35/0.2, it gives an inductance of 300uh and a resistance equal to 0.6hom.
                Is there any help...!!?

Hello, I also want to assemble the SD200 circuit. Do you recommend doing it?
Which version of the circuit have you built?

                  • The SD2000 is 30 years old based on technology that is 50 years old but it still does most of the same functionality as any modern pulse induction detector.
Even today, the LM394 input preamp stage beats most if not all modern opamps.

                    • lm394 output delay is 16.5 microseconds, is this correct guys?

                        • Hi! if according to the standard scheme, the delay can be adjusted by a capacitor.

                          • The circuit has a 5.9K resistor. If it is not at hand, then you can adjust it from another resistor.

It is safe to use an 8.4V battery for the SD2000..!!?

                              • Do not connect a SD2000 to any voltage greater that 6.8 volts as it will cause severe stress on the ZVN2106A / 2N7000 used as the voltage boost circuit, if you want greater reliability remove the device and install a ZVN2106G as it can continue functioning with greater voltage input. Push it too far and it will also blow up.
