    The correct Radio-Shack model number should be 63-3006 or even 630-3006. If this model uses 3- 9 volt batteries , and you have ferrous-non ferrous on your analog meter it is a 63-3006 !!! If it uses 6 AA batteries it is another model.......So the model number 63-3003 , I posted above is wrong !!!!!!See the little notepad with the correct specs , and sorry for my earlier error on the model number.
    Esteban ,After you solder the new inductors in place. With the batteries not connected turn on the unit , then all the controls mid-range , take an ohmeter reading with your DVM across the battery terminals , make sure nothing else is shorted before you re-apply power. As you can see the specs say 30-35 milli-amps is normal , anything much higher is not good. Anyway, you also have Excellent electronic troubleshooting knowledge ,so you will not have any problems repairing this Detector............Eugene
