  • Fisher 1266 PART 2

OK, here it ALL is; waveforms 'n' all.

You NEED to extract the .TIF files into a directory called "waveforms" in whatever direcory you extract the OTHER files to. Then clicking on the hyperlinks in the .DOC file will take you to the appropriate wafveforms for that location (can't remember static of target present) for the set up up of the 1266. F_1265 is EXACLTY the same.

I have searched everywhere , and I need a clear , perfect copy of fisher 1265 schematic , not 1266......I had an almost clear 1265 schematic a few years ago , and it disappeared ???? Eugene

        Fisher 1266 PART 2

Hello Maxbiri , please look again for the Fisher 1265x schematic . Kt315 says he has it , but that was 2 weeks ago and no e-mail from him yet , so maybe he does not have a copy of the 1265x ?? I am not in a big hurry , but just knowing that someone has a copy is good news for me right now . I am very patient anyway . I want to compare 1266x and 1265x , I was told they are very similar , and the 1265x might not have the T-1 transformer used for the transmit oscillator in 1266x !!........Thank-You...........Eugene , my e-mail is [email protected]

Eugene, open PDF file that you emailed me and search.
I do not understand why you do not see it.

          good luck

I think they are loading a vodka bottle. I did read all russians prefer vodka drink in any situation.

              bye-bye

                    Fisher 1266 PART 2

KT315 , Got it thank-You !!!! The Fisher 1265x and 1266x both use that T-1 transformer for the transmit oscillator circuit's !! So 8 ohms is the primary winding and 800 ohms is the secondary winding , and it looks like the secondary winding is center tapped to negative of the supply voltage . And I see the fisher 1260x does not use that "stupid" T-1 transformer . Thank-You again for all the schematics Today !!! .......Eugene

Why not just feed the output of the oscillator into an Op Amp buffer and an inverter, that's is all the tranformer does, it ensures 180 degree between the two signals?

Eugene, I think 8 and 800 are amount of turns. not Ohms. you can take 6 and 600, for example, there is not specific sense, and it will be OK.
the transformer ratio is more important here.
it is very simple trasformer, you can find similar in any electronics garbage.

                        yours

WHY are you focusing on this transformer please I am confued why you think it is important?

It is NOT anything special in the circuit.

                              Fisher 1266 PART 2

Hello Sean your right , Thanks for the information you posted earlier . NO FOCUS .....I do not need to use the T-1 at all !! I always like to keep my projects as close to the original design as possible and also use "almost identical" parts . I have seen other vlf detectors using this method for 180 degree phase shift , RF not audio !!!! .............I am good now , I have all the information I need and Thanks again for the schematics too !!!................Eugene
