Hello Sean , Can you check the 1266 -1 zip-file you just posted. I can not open the word document about the Search-Coil , these zip files are different than the one's I posted yesterday , and I do need them for a project !!! Thank-you . Maybe my Win-Zip Software is Defective ???............Eugene
WHOOPS. You need the latest Winzip to open them. I had to use advanced compression as the file was STILL bigger than 1Mb.
YEAH I know I coulda split it up more, but it took me an hour to sort out all the files as they had somehow gotten scattered all over my hard drive??
I don't have the originals, but I can confirm 100% that this diagram is a good as I've found it easy to trace the signals and they are where I would expect to see signals of this type given the schematic (if that makes anay sense).
If using Winzip's latest is still a problem then I'll re-post using the older version and simpler compression. Please advise.

I am also unable to unzip all the files. Some work, some don't ... even on my Linux system.
Thank-you Sean , The files work now. And I see KT315 added the original schematic . So the only thing missing is information on the "phase reference" T-101 transformer , and there is very little information on the search-coil. Over the years on this forum , I have not seen too much information on Fisher Search-coils. ...But the circuit board looks easy !!! And the field tests I read on the 1266 are very Good !!!...........Thank-You.....Eugene
people, I see your problem that you are really ABSENT out the forum. you are NOT LIVING IN FORUM and it is your VERY HARD PROBLEM!!!
I repeat ALL INFO ON COIL HAD BEEN IN FORUM! ... and I say nothing new now
There exists wonderful Chinese metal detector called the MD3030. I import huge numbers of these into the UK and sell them to hobby shops, outdoor pursuits, and garden centres.
Now, this machine IS a 1266 clone, soooooooooo the search head will work fine, and the BEST bit is they are VERY well made resin cast well balanced, open webcoil and they only cost $50 each!! I can get a whole load of them if people want them but you will have to change the connector your self, Or use the same one on your own Fisher clone .
I would have to have around 30 requests to make it worth an order "out of season", but if enough people here want these heads, I am happy to buy a load for the forum.
KT315, I have that somewhere too, originally from the UK repair centre (the OLD one). It's amazing what you can get with a little spare change
T101 is a STANDARD centre tapped AUDIO output txfr. The sort you find in cheap transistor radios. All you ae loooking for is the 180 degree phase shift.
KT315 , Not everybody on this forum , see's everything !!!!!!. Thank-You for posting the Fisher search-coil file , it is very important !!!! No reason for you to , be unhappy !!!! A lot of good information here !!!! This will help many people !!!!!!!.........Have a Great Week-end...........Eugene
