Diamondhunter , The Camera and you , "the photographer" are fine , your light is not correct !!! It is not properly aimed and your getting a big reflection . Your photos are not the first on this Forum with a bad Glare . The PCB has a resin coating over all the parts , and is acting as a mirror to the light. Move your light source at a 45 degree angle and use a soft white light bulb or a low wattage portable light . Try again , we all look forward to seeing that circuit board.......Thanks..........Eugene

Try switching to "macro focus", and don't use a flash.

Light is very important for best results try going outside but not directly on sunlight. Also try shooting from a small angle so that SMD components could be more visible.

Does anyone have a "real" pic of a GB2 or LST PCB?

C2H5OH will help you in same things you would like to demonstrate us a PCB (use it on a match with a cotton). what eclipse say is the TRUE. the sunlight is BEST in the case.
