Hi, i have the fisher CZ 20 metal detector, but not the schematics.
I also want to know how to open it, so on that way i could take a few pictures of it.
B the way, it is an excellent machine on the water and on the land, very good deep.
I had same problem with Gold Bug2, i don´t know how to open it and i care if i can damage the mache while doing this.

I don’t know, how to open box. But if you be able open it,

open the fisher cz20

sorry about my bad english
no problem to open the cz20, there are 4 screws hidden in the batterie-case
release the cables of headphone and coil
can send you pictures of mine (it's damaged and there was a little water inside)

Long time ago i posted for fisher CZ20 schematics, but unfortunally i did not got any information that can help me to fix my detector.
Today i will start again my search for the cz20 schematic and i m decided to open it again to fix it. This will mean taking a lot of pctures from inside. So if you need it just let me know and also if today you have the schematic, let me know too.

i'm glad I found this post. I need to ope a 1280x to adjust the disc location. It discriminates nickels at 3 and silver at 5. Unless that is how its supposed to be, but I doubt it.

I didn't have to open anything. Just use good batteries. This 1280x works perfectly.
