    hii all friends

    my tarsos

I tested soil and beach. from the pictured place .90 cm I finded From the depthed the meteor. my suggest is that you should keep the wire short between head and box.

dont adjust the g.e.b setting much sensitive you cant look around well in the area adjust it %70 percent turned down
it was tested in the beach there was nothing wrong with it

    it wasn't affected by heat...

    best regards..

    night.....

my tarsos beach tested 25cm and 30-35 cm I finded from the depthed two gold rings.it wasn't affected by heat.
I tested soil coin with 2cm dia in ground 25-30 cm Work stable good discrimination (but Necessary auto tune mod )
and I didn't test the silver..
        best regards

Very impressive results for so few parts !!! I have to Finish my TGSL 1265 Light and the Relic Hawk , they are both about 50% completed !!!! . Then this will definitly be next !!! Were any modifications added to a "final Schematic" ????????..........Thanks........Eugene

Thank-You Friday and Night , ...I have not finished the Tesoro Golden Sabre Light 1265 or the Relic Hawk . I will be working on my projects this winter again . When it is a beautiful 70 degrees everyday , I do very little in the summer , I live in the desert so the normal here in the summer is 105 everyday , for weeks . I will post my results later. Great work on your Metal Detector Emekli/Amca/Tarsos from Turkey !!!...............Regards....................Eugen e

                            Tarsos

                            All,

I'm do this thing on the hobby level but I have built plenty of detectors over the years. I put this circuit together and it functions as advertised! I can take a handful of steel tools and pass them over the coil - nothing!

I get 10+ inches on coin size object as well. It is very sensitive and a very easy project for the home hobbiest!!

A few words on assembly though. If you do the math with the stated values for Tx & Rx resonance, it doesn't add up. I used about 5.8 nf for the Tx coil. Am I missing something?

Also, it took me a while to figure out how the controls work. The best way to tune the circuit is to set all the pots at max resistance, set the "disc" somewhere in the middle and bring the coils to the best null. Use the "disc" control as sort of a "course" threshold control and use the "GEB" as a fine tune control. You can put the circuit together without an o-scope, but if you have one, it really helps.

                            Don

Hi all! Who know to make coil for this device. If you can to explain could you do this in details.

                                Making Tarsos coil

There is enough detail in the text above to build the coil. You just have to study it a little. Also, if you look at some of the links to a few of the videos it shows you how to tune it also. Pay attention to some of the corrections that have been posted on the schematics though (Pins 5 & 6 on one of the LM324 op amps are switched and a 100n cap is missing from the schematic). Other than that, if you just use the circuit board layouts provided it should work just fine. Just a few notes, I added a foil shield to the TX coil and ran a separate ground, as the circuit will false without it.
Also, the circuit does not seem to be too pickey about the coils being in full resonance. I even left the tuning cap off of the Rx coil and it seemed to work OK, but much better in tune. Also, would recommend building the circuit with the autotune option. It works but is difficult to use when you need to keep retuning all the time
