Hello, regards to all. I am trying to mount my first detector, in this case it is a question of the Barracuda. I have been looking for the forum and have compiled all this information. Is it possible to mount the Barracuda with these components?.

Thank you KT 315, is the well-read one all this information, but I have not found anybody who says that it is possible to construct and that it works. Nobody has said it clearly!!.
I see that there are many mistakes as for the scheme and because of it my question!.

Estive a ver tus posts o Barracuda chamou-me atencion, ia o pusieste a funcionar? Já tiens mas alguna informacion pos los links nao estion activos.
Mas em qualquer lugar yo já ouvido hablar bien desse detector.
Sou de Portugal , lisboa e tambien procuro uno projecto facil e confiavel
pois soy noviço nestas lides.

Hello Draco , 3 o 5 years ago i have experiment with this schematic of the geotech forum , with some adjustment in special in timing of the pulse the baracuda work fine, i say that years ago in the geothech forum ...yes i make it work ....in my homemade pulse i include some nice circuit like the modulation of the audio via pulse(via R18-R19) also the fantastick pulse control with the CD 40106 wich control wichth pulse and frecuency and delay etc..." all in one" no more lot of 4538 or with 555 ...and for the guy who say me the 4538 is more precise ...ok but no difference in the real life ...my Pi has a very stable and precise pulse with the 40106, circuit of the Baracuda..
Draco you must experiment 1 o 2 days and it is ok you will find all the small error of the scheme for exemple the 555 for the 7660 etc...but i cannot help you because for the years ago(my memory) and my notes very bad,and a lot of work for me actually ...What i can say this Barracuda work very well....

Sorry, but I think wrong draco is spanish and my native language is portuguese.

Portuguese and spanish , french, italian even romanian are latin languages and he have some facilities in comunication because de base of language , the latin.

But I understand/whrite english to read the posts at and whrite satisfactly.

Ok , basicaly I say to Draco if he puts barracuda go on and ask the circuit table its the only information around. Because seems to me a interesting circuit, no so dificult, like others. I make intentension to construct too. I think the problem , like others circuits is alterations and the tune up, and about this detector I not see great information around.
