Read: Poor sensivity to gold and nickels, but detects only non ferrous.

      Very simple.
      Good for the Pistol !!!!!

Coils must be adjusted for non ferrous, or detector must be selected in non-ferrous mode.

'amplitude increase on non-ferrous' is not a discovery. I see the effect in King Cobra and very clear that the detector was projected for non-ferrous IDEALLY, in my opinion.

Daytona is a IB. So what adjust to make at coils????
We adjust them for null and the Op.Amp makes the other for the non ferrous objects.
                Regards

Yes... and what happening at the ferrous objects????? I believe that the amplitube increase again.

to your big sorrow - NOT. the amplitude decreases on ferrous. Cobra has right reply on a metal!

                      Finally what happening ????
I just tested a DD coil. I gave signal 6.5khz with the generator and connected to the Rx coil the scope. I saw the opposite !!! Ferrous increase the signal to the Rx coil and 2 gold coins decrease it. So maybe Esteban has right.... with a little destroy of the null, we have the signal of coil to increase to ferrous or no ferrous objects.

Geo, White's coil gives an increase on ferrous and non-ferrous. but on non-ferrous amplitute almost does not increase at first but after increases up (slow increase). on ferrous amplitude increases directly in more rate.

Except is the iron piece is a closed circle!
