How difficult would it be to adapt Minelab SD PI mono coils? I believe they have induction of 300 uH and resistance of .5 ohm.
I'm going to try to make those coils compatible if you guys tell me there's not much more work involved. I could use Sasho's detector along with the Minelab coils in order to save on equipment space.
Also, Sacho's design along with a 1 inch ferrite-core coil would make one awesome pin pointer!
Ok gentlemen, I got a component list of all the required items to make the shopping easier. Remember, I'm going by Naeem's revision. I noticed he made some minor changes to Sasho's 1.2 version. For instance, Naeem uses 7808 instead of LM2930-8, so he accommodated diode 4007. He also eliminated MPSA13, etc.
Can some one give me the required voltages for the capacitors? No where are the voltages listed. For example, a 220u capacitor, is it 50V or 6.3V; or a 100n capacitor , is it 5V, 63V, 250V, or 400V?
I think once I get the voltages down for the capacitors, I should be able to order all the components online and start assembling my board.
Remember, this list of the parts used is a reference to make the shopping easier. I may have miscounted a few of the items (Kinda of hard staring at the screen for such a long time, sorry).
Can some one give me the required voltages for the capacitors?
You need to use a OO or DD coil. Each half should be about 4.6mH and that is very different from the coil you were talking about wanting to use.
Use 16V or 25V electrolytic capacitors for the 220uF and 100uf.
The non polarized capacitors can be 50V film with one exception: 50V would be OK for C5 but 63V might be better.
For C1 (47pF) use 50V film or else 100V NPO/COG ceramic.
C10 could be just about any 47pf unit.
It is OK to use higher voltage capacitors than what I said, but the packages will be larger.
Any 1N400x series diode should be OK for D11, D12.
Thanks for the heads up on the capacitor sizes/types. Can some one please verify these capacitors before I place them on order. I tried to follow porkluvr's guidance, but I would like for them to be verified anyways. If something goes wrong, It's going to be difficult debugging the capacitors! I used the Capacitor conversion chart at : http://www.justradios.com/uFnFpF.html
22n (.022 uf) = 2 x Polyester Film Capacitor 100volts
220uF = 3 x Aluminum Electrolytic 25 V , 10% Tolerance
1000uF = 1 x Aluminum Electrolytic 25 V, 10% Tolerance
4 волта има спрямо виртуална земя. Напрежението се дели на две и от средната точка до + и - е по 4 волта
It is ok to post in your own language as long as you also post an English translation.
Not everyone here has access to a translator that can convert Bulgarian to English.
