I'm more than sure, that there is CD4066, and its switches used like comparators to connect appropriate tone from 4024 counter to audio modulation stage Just like in White's "Flash Phase analysis" patent.

I am looking to add tone ID to the Classic ID/IDX Pro units. Do you kit them, or can you guide me to then info so I can build it?

                    Thanks Matt

Tone ID on Whites Classics with display pod.

I have an idea for making this work, but it will be winter before I will have time to attempt it. I think that each indicator is a separate control pin, according to the schematics. If that is the case, a couple of chips and small handful of parts should make it doable. It will have to tie into the pinpoint switch to override the circuit when in pinpoint mode. The only other concern I have may be with the duration of the tones being to short with this method. My circuit design skills are very rough, been a long time. I will have to refresh on the 555 and support circuits, don't want to smoke a modded IDX Pro or ID.

                        Matt

Hello, would the module work for a 3900 DI Pro+ as well? Or is there any other way to add multitone to the 3900? If I correctly grounbalance, I dig too much iron as discrimination is too low at that point. If I set discrimination not to dig iron, it seems that I loose quite a lot of sensitivity. I would love to buy a multitone module for my 3900

                              Hello Anatolij

I was trying to find out also, Mrand rubbed the chip
clean so it could not identified. If I find out what IC
chip he is using I will send you the information.
