  • DISCRIMINATING PI

Here is the discriminating signal processing circuit of the TINKERERS_V1.
It has been breadboard tested and gives good results.
The sensitivity is good and the discrimination is to the full depth of detection.
Any comments, specially on ways to improve are most welcome.

I say congratulations if you made a successful discriminating PI detector! Great job! I hope you make a document of your project and post as file.

            Hobbes,
            attached are the EAGLE files.
This is a work in progress and the help of all of you is very welcome.
It would be nice if we could kick the EAGLE files around a bit, each one improving things a bit.

Hmmm ... that did not work. The .rar file did not want to upload.

              kt315,

              thanks for the feedback.
Yes, I know about the PULSE DEVIL from David Emery.
Allan Westersten also has a discriminating PI in the works that should come out soon.

The TINKERERS_V1 is way behind, but with all of yours help, it can become the
DISCRIMINATING PI for all the tinkerers of the world to tinker with.

                The TX part is here:
                http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15683

There is much more information there, about the coil, power supply etc.

There are also lots of oscilloscope pictures of the signal, discrimination etc.

Valid file extensions: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd tif txt zip

It appears that "rar" files are not allowed.

Try again with a "zip" file as above.

I posted the timing schedule and Hex file at http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...0826#post90826

I am working on the PCB. You are most welcome to design a PCB and post it.
This is supposed to be a project where everybody contributes.
