      Hi guys ....Help required ...the latest is... the pin 1 of LM358 that goes to the PIC 16f876 is AC and musted be inverted to DC voltage and then the voltage must be increased 10 times maximum and the depth will increase according to the author of the machine ....can this be done I need your help guys how can I do this ,what parts will I need and use..Thank you

        this is all the clue we are given ....from pin1 of LM358 to the PIC ...the output of lm358 is AC current and must be changed to DC current and then the voltage must be increased to 10 times using diodes capacitors and resistors and maybe add another op amp aswell , but remember that the second channel of the LM358 is free and maybe it can be incorporated to be used that is all the clue I can get ....and this will increase the sensitivity to make a more powerful and sensitive...Guys this machine can be made very powerful I need help...

          No target, but with two cores!

          I thought that the authors of patent have made error of measurement, and thus published incorrect diagram. It turned out that they have acted correctly, but the error is mine. I went astray in adopting the label "No Target". Since I gained experience with apparatus PI, the status of sensors "No Target" means for me state of intuition coil "No Core" or air core.
          For this sensor, it is not so. From description of the patent is understood that in the state "No Target", for sensing coil remain to operate two cores: ferrite and metal. Not only ferrite core, but the metal core has feromagnetizm.

                        This machine is not very powerful if you are thinking of building it....the finished machine is very basic in operation and needs further developement.The problem is the TX is powerful and it is digital..but the Rx is weak and it is analog and to inrease the Rx strength is a daunting task and nobody on the Turkish site has been able to improve it after months of work on it..and nobody here is interested ,so maybe a good idea to forget about it.

                                The first amplifier seems to be configured as a comparator (positive feedback) - is this intentional, or am I reading the schematic and board layout wrong?
