My variant is better. Have adjusting frequency, pulse width, main delay, sample width, sensitivity. Used pic16f88.

I think what to write a new program for this detector is not difficultly. But I can make it only for PIC16F8....... .
And I suspect that in this program (Koschej) is provide counter of switch on. Exist new project for Koschej with digital adjusting some parameters.

Project BRN Pi-1.
Can explain purpose of pot 100 k (between R4 and R6) and also divider R10 +R11? It seems that the divider R10+R11 is intended for the control of a voltage of the battery. Pot 100k (between R4 and R6) is for null balance of U1A?

Using of other opportunity (compare mode) for pic16f88 or pic16f887 allows to receive higher accuracy of conversion and sensitivity (without AD conversion).

found the solution (Setup guide), so the detector can be adjusted very sensitiv without any additional instruments
next Task is to improove the lcd Connection, i think there a some conection made without any look in the datasheets
the hd44780 1602 lcd need a resitor for the led backlight and also a trimmer for contrast, with the 1k resistor the lcd is too bright for hidden treasure hunting
