I work many-many years with expesspcb. For me best of all. For pcb i make export pdf file and use corel... mirror etc. For Gerber only factory-expresspcb has this application. Last year i search for software but don't find. Maybe Qiaozhi has solution for us
best regards
Andreas
ExpressPCB does not support Gerber-out on purpose. Otherwise users could simply use the free software to have their boards made by another company.
However ... ... I think I have a solution.
It is possible to print from ExpressPCB to a file in HPGL format. First you need to install an HPGL printer driver. In Windows XP you need to do the following:
Deselect "Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play Printer".
Select Next.
Set "Use the following port:" to "FILE: (Print to File)".
Select Next.
Set "Manufacturer" to "HP".
Set "Printers" to "Hewlett-Packard HP-GL/2 Plotter".
Select Next.
Set "Do you want to use this printer as the default printer?" to "No".
Select "Do not share this printer".
Select Next.
Set "Do you want to print a test page?" to "No".
Select Next.
Select Finish.
Then start ExpressPCB and open your layout. I used one of the supplied examples. Select File > Print, and print the required layers to the Hewlett-Packard HP-GL/2 Plotter you added previously.
Now download "ViewCompanion Pro" from "www.softwarecompanions.com".
Open the previously created HPGL file (with .hgl extension) and view it in ViewCompanion Pro. Then select File > Save As, and save it as Gerber RS-274X.
Voila ... you have a Gerber file from ExpressPCB!!
Hello, can some tell me if this schematics works good, how is it compared to tm800 tm808 tf900?
If it's working good I can make schematics and gerber files for fabrication with Orcad.
