  • Goldscan 4 Schematics

    Hi Everyone
I am looking for the Goldscan 4 Schematics. The one posted by Steban last week is in a format that I cannot print.
    Thanks

    Re: Goldscan 4 Schematics

    Hi Hector,

Try going to the April 2003 on this forum. The schematic and power supply are posted.

    Here is one link:

Just do a simple save to disk once you are over the schematic.

Re: To Reg (GoldScan 4 Schematics)

      Hi Reg
Thanks for the link. I was not saving it to the disk instead I was trying to import into AutoCad 2000 but finally I able to import it.
By the way, does anyone you know has the PCB available for this design? I guess I can always go to BareBones PCB for a quote. Would anyone else be interested?
      Let me know.
      Thanks
      Hector

Re: Goldscan 4 is risky adventure!

            Hi all,
Goldscan 4 is on the edge of instability because of lot of amplifiers and monoflops, I think. Pcb for such complicated detector can design only expert with lot of Pi experience.
Qualities of components and adjustment can also cause a lot of problems. I think it is very hardly to cope with such design. It is real adventure, If you not Eric Foster.

Re: To Reg (GoldScan 4 Schematics)

              Hi Hector,

I think there are still a few mistakes on the schematic provided. It does display the general concepts what was intended and I will say that the setup of all the pots is quite critical.

No, I did not build the GS 4, I owned one that did not work correctly. I had to adjust mine and it was a real pain.

I would recommend a person see what is basically involved and maybe design their own, rather than build the GS 4. This way a person could also modifiy the audio to conform more with the later designs.
