HI all as my name iam un emplyee, misrable and poor man from sudan a new golden land and no way to obtain a MD so the only hope to btter the live is this forum and its member........I had optain the pcb , part list and pcb descrepation of proscan MD but i am not porfinational to electronics ..i need to explain the function of below qusetions marc of the below pcb. what is the ability of discremination and the depth.NOTE i failed to contact the auther.


what shall to make modificatins in coil and electronics if i want to increase the the pentration depth?? please detailed answers if possible.

This is a pulse induction (PI) detector. There is no discrimination. It detects all types of metal.

is that mean vlf is the type that having discremination

VLF = Very Low Frequency
IB = Induction Balance
TR = Transmit Receive

BUT - you will find that most amateur VLF projects do not discriminate.

My advice would be to build the TGSL (Tesoro Golden Sabre Light) design, which can be found here -> http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15710
However, make sure that you purchase a secondhand commercial 5-pin Tesoro coil, as constructing your own coil causes the most problems. Access to an oscilloscope would also be advisable.
