  • Proteus VSM circuit simulators?

    Check out the www.labcenter.com VSM stuff. Anyone use it?
    Should be able to simulate say the Surfmaster nicely.
    I drewl over the pic10/12F VSM. Looks really fun.

    bit pricey for hobby projects!

    I've been playing with vmlab for a few months. It's a bit slow, but hey it's free!

    Also, why pic is the prefer micro of choice for some people is beyond me...

      Nothing against the AVR stuff - I'm a newbie with uC programming and comitted to pic for my first projects a few years ago and have software/hardware tools for them. Just attended an AVR seminar and got their ICE. Many there share your opinion.

        Nice!

        I have been wanting to create that board myself for quiet some time. The schematics and component count for some ICE varients make it easy enough. I think most of us at some point will need HVP accessibility in case we ever "lock" ourselves out of our chips. Those damn fuse settings are trouble...

        Also, don't get me wrong, I think micros in general are awesome. Its good to still have options. I just think the pic architecture is a little too hard core for its performance.
