  • Volksturm SM + GEB

    I guess we should open a new thread for this since the last one was off topic.
    Anyway, I have uploaded a short demonstration:

    This one is with the VCO option (with the 8k2 resistor and a jumper).

    good idea dear Don
    for 20'' coil:
    RX = 59 turn of .25mm wire
    TX = 39 turn of .25mm wire
    i hope that this one is true!!

      Hi dfbowers
      i today buy all components that volksturm sm+gb need but cant find transistors!!! this component are very very extinct in my country, so can i use any other transistor instead: BC146 , 2N4923 , 2N4920
      I NEED TO HELP PLEASE HELP ME URGENT
      with many thanks

        Can you please clarify? Are the transistors above the ones that you cannot get or the ones that you would like to use?

        Do you mean what transistors can be substituted for BC146 , 2N4923 , 2N4920?
        I had substituted the western equivalents (above) for the original Russian components so
        that is how I got them. Where are you located? Maybe we can figure it out from there if you cannot place an international order.

          HCF4520BEY

          for what is the HCF4520BEY "Counter Shift Registers Dual Bin Up Counter"? you order this in mouser but it doesn't appear in the schematic. o.o

                Nice!

                I'm not sure that my parts list was accurate or not. I might have ordered something for another project with the order.

                  I still cannot help you because I don't know where you live.
                  Maybe do an internet search from the original components?

                    Hi silver
                    i cannot get those transistor too but i get thistransistors that i thing those are ok but i am not sure yet;
                    KT816 = BD238
                    KT817 = BD237
                    KT315 = 2N2222 ( BC146 is an old type and is extinct in my country)

                    to dear Don
                    wath is your opinion; we can use those transistors?
                    regards

                      I would be careful about what you substitute for the KT816 and KT817. Looks like the BD238 and BD237 have twice the current rating over what I used, so probably ok. KT315 - > 2n2222 is probably less critical.

                          i confuse with the 4013 the pin 7 is ground according to proteus but in the pcb is in the negative voltage, what is the correct configuration? (im making the pcb with proteus )

                            pin 7 to negative, not to the ground. you have to get full amplitude for control of 4066 (or 4053 - if you use it). the chops' power supply has to have a level of op-amps' supply (equal or more). ie -E and +E in the shematic.

                              ok

                              here is the volkstrum + geb in proteus schematic and pcb, the part list, top (pdf), bot(pdf), included, can anyone to revise it is correct or not?, i replaced the kt8xx for the tip3x, and the kt315 for 2n2222 the pins are not the same, and i have a question... can i include a class a amplifier 10w in the tx coil to do more power more depth? and a mic booster in the rx? for 4ohm coil? anyone tried this? im crazy!

                              ps. my english is weaker
                              [edit]i forget to put the battery holes , you need to drill the holes for the battery [/edit]
