PLS Read- Compadre / Amigo Schematic

    PLS Read- Compadre / Amigo Schematic

    In regards the Compadre schematic commonly referred to on this site: I know that the machine and drawing have been beat to death here but please read on and respond.
    The circuit drawing normally attributed to the compadre says Amigo II in the lower corner and was supplied by KT315. The question was asked in a prior post by Simon Baker wether anyone has confirmed that the two circuits were in fact identical and that the component numbers were also the same. No one answered that question and it was most likely overlooked in the midst of answering other Q's.
    So.....Has anyone confirmed that?? Also is there a different drawing that anyone would be willing to share that is in English - not russian?
    I am really after an original (versian I) amigo drawing. Does anyone have that circuit drawing as well?? Any and all low end Tesoro schematics appreciated. Pre uMax.
    Lastly would someone be so kind as to answer what transistor Q3 is?? Meaning what type of tranny it is? A part number...2n3907, 2n**** etc. Are all the trannys the same?

    Russian schematic

    Dear Phil,

    off-top matter... what is the 'tranny'? I use a dictionary and it has not this word... need constantly use the pop up dict for the English... but if I meet these words all denotation of comment will lose the meaning... sorry if we are all asiatics here...

          OK two of my Favorites are here now so I will just ask you both KT and Qiaozhi: I am just wanting to know what the Transistor Q3 value is and what is it's function? Parrellel the discrimination control Pot. That looks to me like a strange/different discrimination circuit. Also there is another trim pot located in line with the Face mount Discrimination control.
          Why all that?? Please explain this piece of the Amigo / Compadre circuit.

                The good country of Lithuania must provide intellegence to stupid American man. Me. I like to tinker and learn about metal detectors. I see something unusual and strange in the beginning of the discrimination circuit that makes me curious. I know you are one of the smartest man that know much about metal detectors and electronics. That is why I ask if you will help me understand and what is the value of that transistor in the Amigo and Compadre circuit . Thank you KT. Phil from USA

                  This is the version that on this forum as well as a variant posted by estaphan. Estabans is the same as KT's. As staed before I am looking for the answers to three questions.
                  .......Is there other schematics of specific Amego I ?
                  .......What is the value of Q3 ...What type/model/ transistor. 2n???? etc.
                  .......Mainly what is the function and purpose of the strange Discrimination set up? The paralell Transistor to discrimination pot and the purpose of the series trimmer pot R24? The Transistor seems to set a voltage bias for the series Trim and main discriminate but if true why?? Or is it something else?? Please explain it's function.

                    no no no... Big Brother teaches all small folks worldwide what is real not false democracy... may be you mean the tranny used like diode in op-amps? or where you see it at the schematics?
