I really wasn't complaining, I was trying to joke that with all your great recent work, I will need to make lots of pcb's and Mrs Silverdog will want to know about it !!

Nice idea about the Disc pot - could you clarify the wiring, do we need an extra pad ?

Are resistors 96k6, 71k5, 80k6, critical ? values in the CR25/MR25 series would be good ?

    respect

Extra pad? For what? There are all the pads needed already, for Disc command.
      No, i put there closest resistances i had. 96K6=100K, 71K5=68K and 80K6=82K. I don't think those are that critical. Instead 280K i used 270K and instead one 16K5 i put 15K+1K5. 432K=330K+100K......etc...etc...
I simply hate to see such values! But so far i had no problems with closest substitutions, on many hand made so far.

        Liberty II

Ah, pad D. I see it now - your first post of pcb didn't show connections from disc.

I am not smart enough to find it myself

        thank you

          Hi,

in the Schematic R34=22k and R54=56k exist twice. Only cosmetic ...

D1 and D6 are 4148. Missing D5 and R50-R53 are used for not supported Battery Check (I think).

Yes, frequent updates usually leave some "cosmetic" mistakes. Usually i don't mind about those.
True; power supply is changed and battery check omitted. I couldn't find 2931 and that's why i used 7805+z5V6...

              Update

Sorry fella's, I somehow lost my email notifications on this topic and thought it went dead shortly after starting.
Thanks Iv for making the traces and Lay files.
I see now you had asked for Coil data. I would have been more than happy to respond had I known of the request.
Thanks to Silverdog the data for the coil is already here in the thread. Also thanks to Silverdog I learned of the coil winding designations on the mounting ears. The liberty II has these numbers on the ear. 6B 8316 I am assuming the 8316 is a date code 16th week of '83. ??
Now am wondering if anyone here has come up with the Liberty Di schematic??
if so can it would be very cool to find it in my PM folder or posted here.
What a very Merry Christmas that would be.

This is good detector to construct, I think. Here is nice layout.
