you have DP... increase strobe impulse to 1000 us. decrease pps to 25 hz or low. change mos-fet on more powerfull one. change battery on more effective one. use 1 meter ramka coil and more. try... you have all for the success...

As KT315 said , also delta pulse is versatile, my modified delta pulse can detect 1euro

What Might work for you is a "Magnetic Locator".

Typically these devices are mainly used to detect "Survey Pins", But they will detect magnetic metals (Iron, Nickel or Cobalt) at quite good depths.

magnetic locator is good but as you say it can detect only magnetic metals, please let me know if it can detect holes and long time ago(more than 2000 years) buried non-magnetic metals(bronze)?
