TR200 PCB photos
Hi, it was my son's detector 10 years ago. It works - the only mod done to it was to replace 2x9V batteries with 5cel x 1.2V pack + NMH0509D. I use this mode for years with other 9V detectors. The detector is made of IC1-LM741CN, IC2-4016BE, TR1-BC214B, TR2 and TR3-BC184B. It detects US 25c from above 20cm in air and go silent with nails.
I came back to this detector for experiment - how deeper it can go with number of simple mods to be applied - just to see what can be done. The coil is only 6in (15cm). It works as static detector.Comment

If you have some problems with stability open coil from upper side with hot blade, check silver condensators, my was unsoldered. You may change them with 10nf x2 class. FixedComment
