    Hi Sean,
sorry for the OT but I'm somehow unable to send you a PM through the forum. Could you please get in touch regarding schematics for the Sovereign?

Hi Belenus, I think it is because you have not posted enough to be able to PM anyone yet. I cant' won't post my email on ANY forum so you will have to either post a few more times, or wait a while until we can discuss further.

I have to confess, that as I went to great deal of effort and expense to get these schematics, I am unhappy passing them on to any "new" members of the forum as they have the handwriting of the person who supplied them to me on them and thus provide a means of identifying that person and I am not happy revealing one of my "spies" within Minelab in such a manner.

Simon, as I said "foldback" (that's the term I was taught as college) but you are correct, the signal is subject to HEAVY distortion and thus ends up "dirty". A simple limiter or compressor might well solve the problem ;-)

Just a small niggle and observation you may have overlooked. Power supply section input 12volt out put 12v I think it needs 2-3 v headroom ? Thanks for your work and hope to see this design develop.
          Best Regards
          Maurice.

              12XAA cells = 12*1.5V = 18V

                  Hi all,

i m little checking this schematics from telus.net (and i think, the 2 dwg are equal).

The rudimentary problem in this dwg:
op-amps power voltages: +8 and -5V. It is no good for commercial op-amps ( offset, drift current, etc., for example see this forum -- Tesoro Bandido section).

Better if you use 78L06 and 79L06 IC-s (6V), or... redesign and use single power supply with other op-amps.

For all IC: between + power pin and GND must be adding an 47-100nF capacitor (missing from dwg).

Maybe exist an other error(s) in this dwg, please grinding/polishing its.

                  Brg
