  • Star fish

    Hi all.

I had a little play with the starfish today. I did not launch the boat, I just walked up and down the dock wall.
It was just to try the starfish on my new panasonic toughbook.
I took a quick screen shot. I am looking forward to getting the boat in the water soon and doing some wreck hunting!

Are there any starfish users in the North East of England I am looking to meet up and exchange info/ learn etc

    Regards

    Lee

ID:	335807 Hi all, I took the Starfish up to Scotland over the easter break. I did not have too much luck with the side scan as I was using it between dives and there was a lot going on. Some of the other chaps on the boat were helping me but there was a lot to take in and the unit was not set up correctly. When I got home I took the unit out on my RIB in the confines of my local marina, (Hartlepool). The water depth was about 7m but the images are OK. The first is of the RIB with the towfish mounted on the bottom of the pole. The second image of a small wreck. The third image is of the corner of the dock. And the fourth image is of another wreck with a small platform in front of it for diver training. I will try to get out into deeper water next and play with the settings some more.

      Hi Lee

Good pictures and an interesting boat, keep it up.
Do you have the towfish fixedly mounted to the rack on the port side?
