tod--do not know if you got phone setup yet--


this perhps not so much for you but then you


consider..there is at least one out there wants


to do from scratch--well here you are..this is


called a sector scan and produces a slice of pie


type scan for the one dimention and the movement


of the fish is the other..the basic principls


involved should be apparent...this is not thery


but the tecqniqe was/is used in medical usound


imaging....it should be possible to steer the beam


in the other plane also to have a device that


produces a psedo-realtime image...


but a word of warning--thge design of the electronics


in such an apparatus is far from mundane---not


somthn' you can do from radio shack parts (totally)


this is not to discorage---simply to state truth.
