Entry level sonar

I'm interested in using a sonar to locate some wrecks that we are looking for. At theis time I have no specialist knowledge of sonar, but I have been considering buying an entry level unit in order to gain experience. I've looked at the web pages for the Shark Marine unit. As with all advertising, it seems as though the unit is adequate. Has anyone ectually considered or tested this unit?

If I were to get this unit, could I use it in conjunction with other transducers at a later stage?
