I am looking for ways to find snowy grouper in 650 to 1200 feet of water in the south atlantic. I would like some feedback on cost effective ideas or existing equipment that would give me a more efficient way to look for these fish instead of using my bottom machine. I have experimented with different transducers and cone angles but see little difference in bottom coverage at these depths. It's like using a flashlight when I really need a set of flood lights. Any advice would be appreciated.
