Has any body got basic plans and software to build a side scan sonar useing a pc or laptop.From reading some of the posts it is not clear to me what is going on here.

Hi Joe,
This forum started out with several people discussing, and working on, homebrew ss sonars. I'm not sure anyone ever got one finished, and things sorta fizzled.
The forum is still here, for referencing the old discussions, and in case folks want to get things going again.

Thank you for you reply.Is there any hope of geting something started useing a laptop or PC as the display.Has anybody looked at the work done by people building robots they use sonar to see, I know it is not the same thing but who knows? Also has there been any indpendant reviews of the available cheep side scan sonarsComment
