The latest software update ( Ver 3.740) for a 981 CSI appears to offer "Sonar Recording" !!

Hoorah I hear you cry, it can be found under the captured picture screen menu.

Damn, i'll need a bigger SD card now.

981 recording

Had a play with recording in my 981 csi, looks like about 6.5 Mb per min, so 153 mins per Gb, so not bad. File is a strange *.SON which is a soundblaster format, the player in the 981 is therefore proprietary. It looks like you may be able to switch the views as the file is playing. I haven't had time to do proper trials yet though. Cheers, Alec Collyer.
