I am looking for SS software for a wesmar SHD700SS analog SS that i can use with a National Instruments PCI-MIO-16E-4 PCI-6040E A/D (analog to digital)board for a PC useing a PCi slot. These boards sell on ebay for around $150.00.This board accepts 3 bnc connectors.left and right channels plus 1 trigger. All the software that i have found cost as much as a Ferrari.GeoDAS is 30k,SonarWiz is 14k,hypak is up there too.I found software that will work with my SS its called SeaSone hunter and mosiac but havent found anyone that sells it and cant get a price. It was made year ago for win 2000 which is what i use cause its stable.I would like some software that doesnt require a dongle for it to run.Anyone have any that i can get a copy or know of any programmers that are willing to sell cheap?

You will need a trigger board and the needed electronics to let the analoge sidescan interface with your DAQ board as well. You can not use just a DAQ board as you describe.
The software must also be compatible with the model of DAQ you are planning on using.

No electronics needed besides the pci card.Other than the 3 bnc cables.See pic.I finally got a hold of the makers of SeaSone Hunter and mosiac. They sent me a demo program and for $2500 they will send me the usb dongle to make it work as a full program.Heres a link to the hunter and mosiac manual. The software works with klien 595's and other SS units.Well worth the price since its the cheapest software around to make a analog SS have a digital recording.better than a dat or vcr or a paper recorder.

aha! The 700SS has a built-in trigger board with the needed electronics to connect your DAQ card.
If this is correct you will need only the DAQ and the software that are compatible with both 700SS and the DAQ model.
When you get any images from the converted system, please share with us!
