Hi,
Since professional sidescan transducers are to expensive for most of us we have to use the cheaper fishfinder transducers.
Eventhough it has been proven by Dan Fountains that these transducers can be used, I would like to ask 'the world' if they have ideas on how these transducers can be improved for sidescan use.
The better the transducers are adapted for sidescan use the less work we will have to process the received echos
Does anyone have ideas ?
Sidescan transducers should make 'slices' of the surrounding terrain (0.5 degree horizontal 40 degrees vertical)
Perhaps it is possible to let the sound be shaped by a
adapter mounted in front of the transducer.
Regards,
Jan
