dyi vlf project with commercial coil?

Can anyone recommend a good dyi vlf metal detector that will work with commercial coils. Furthermore, which of silverdogs vlf kits are worth building.

yup, this is in my plans.
I'l try testing a super Cobra (Marauder) with commercial coils I have - Garrett, Bounty hunter, Whites, xTerra. will give my resume.

I would say go with TGSL-EDU, there is more documentation and help available than other projects, it is a decent performer and the coils are probably the easiest to find
