  • FIRST MINELAB GOLDSEEKER 3D 9000

Hello to all has anyone seen this First Minelab Made in South Australia it came out when they started before the Goldseeker 15000 Model.I got it going by replacing I.C-4024 and Transistor A13 is a really easy circuit to work with but has a lot of wires all over the place
going to the different pots and switches the wiring to the Headphone Jack was changed (I think) or the three on the board are not correct original since it was look by someone before it's the (Brown) (Red) (Black) at the top of second pic or left of 4th pic.If someone has this model in original wiring state and they could do pics like mine or tell how this three wires color wise go in the board and show a pic of the Jack wiring to make sure 100 percent how it was would be Great It works fine Ground Balance really good picks up 1 gram alluvial Gold no problems with VLF no movement Discriminates iron nails etc O.k but when you plug the Headphone it uses stereo ones it shorts and does not work.Wiring as a said on the Jack or wiring on the board must be out. Before investigating any further I want to see if any one has this model to compare.Cheers for any help

        FIRST MINELAB 3D 9000 GOLDSEEKER

Thanks to some very nice persons help and time I have the photos of the wiring and now it's fully functional and working great.I still would like the manual copy of it.Although I know how all the functions work.Grt Nakky I would to help you with your experiment but the pics are reduced to be able to post them here.We don't want to abuse the Geotech Forum with more space.Maybe if you send me your email privately and I have some time to pull it apart again and do the pics before the owner gets it I will send you more clear photos.photos

            Hi All
I have one of these units I was given not working. IC 4024 not working so I replaced it.
Got it sort of working I think.
Does anyone have a copy of setting the controls properly as I don't have one.
            Tnx in advance

              Hi Conan
In your 3rd photo above does orange jumper wire under IC 4024 solder to pin6 or pin7 and goes to 100k resistor.
Is pin9 still connected to 100k resistor or is the track been cut. I can't see clearly from the photo.
My unit does not have this jumper wire maybe why it won't work properly.
              I assume IC4024 is a 7 stage binary counter.
Also my headphone wiring are 3 single twisted wires yellow+orange+black from pcb to socket.
              Tnx in advance.
