Minelab Sovereign XS not working

Gidday all, I have picked up a Sovereign XS detector and am trying to get it working. When you turn it on it makes a loud buzzing continuously with or without the coil attached and after a short while smoke starts to come out of the transformer T1. No components on the board look bad. Does anyone know the value of transformer T1 and where I might start looking for the cause.

The audio output FET is probably shorted. I hunted in the rain and mine went up in smoke.
