Does anyne know which of the 22 internal adjust ments might tighten up the signal on a CZ 6a. In my club we have two machines, the other is a CZ20, that have a rather blurred signal tone compared to other CZ's. Depth (in air) is unaffected but you just don't get a sharp signal, its wider and flatter. My machine has been away for a checkup/service (in the U.K.)but supposedly nothing is wrong. On deep in ground targets performance is reduced.

Many Thanks if anyone can help

Can I ask if the machine went to Joan Allen for a checkup by any chance?

Yes it did. Was told to send it back to the States but I thought I would give them a chance.

        Calling Router

Does this mean that you have had a similar experience with a Joan Allen repair ? Stripped the machine myself and have managed to take out most of the mushy sound and have gained nearly two inches in air depth. Lets hope the gain still applies out on the wet sand.

          Re: Calling Router

Not personally, Brian, but I have heard some stories about machines NOT being repaired, but just sent back and a hefty bill for "looking" at it.

Of course they MAY be stories, but your experiences seem to spread a little more credibility on the whole issue.

If you have seen Nottingham detectors "Stitched up" sale, phone Terry, and ask him about the Sunray dealership (remember to wear earplugs, and I hope you don't mind strong language).

There seems to be a policy by a "certain" shop to want to push all others out of the market. Shame really, they USED to have such a good reputation too.

I have NO info on Fishers, though I might be able to get some, leave it with me and I'll see what I can do for you.

If you don't see another posting here within two weeks, assume I've had no success.

Thanks for your help...now have three people with supposedly perfect working CZ's that in fact don't. Also still trying to find out if anyone EXCEPT in the U.S. has a machine that runs deeper in the all metal,auto-tune mode.

Pop over to the PI forum, and leave Dave Johnson a posting.

I believe he designed the CZ5 and may be able to help you.
