Two box machines can go several meters deep on bigger targets. More real problem would be how to dig all those deep bigger targets detected.

If I understand the question well. Concerning to depth:
My field tests are done in the same place for all projects.
Pieces of iron, forming a block of 17 cubic centimeters, buried one meter deep.
And for this project has a clear and strong signal.
Has not yet been made a maximum depth test.
Need to dig, dig, dig ...

I would say from 2 to 5 meters, an optimistic vision, but all depending on the mineralization of soil, size and how long the
object was buried.
As to whether it's worth building, it all depends on the ease of obtaining materials.
None detector is so good (professional), as we would like.
