Velox One.
I think it is pure copy of the Gold Maxx Power. Today I opened this team and I have taken the photos. The PCB is well done, but the components are deleted. Has a kind of resin components above. It's just as fast as the Gold Maxx Power, but the Gold Maxx Power I like more and is cheaper. Greetings. Eduardo.Attached Files

Oh man!
YIAKKK!!!
That ugly resin is one HUGE argument against buying it!
What a mistake!? Oh man!
They shouldn't allow themselves such terrible mistake!
Why? Simply because each customer will count on possibility to service device one day, sooner or later.
(especially device with such kind of power supply!
From my rich servicing experience i can tell that 99% of faults i have seen so far are caused by improper connecting of outer accu's!
Usually laymen owners do trying to "amplify" and "boost up" their detectors by adding extra accu and most frequently they mix up wires or trying to use higher voltage!!
Minelab's SD and GP are most frequent victims of such wisdom!)
I seriously do doubt that Nokta is so able to provide legal service in each country where their products are sold.
They maybe made decent detector with this new one Velox; but they spoiled it much with "protecting" it with resin!
Thank you for posting those photos!
Very educative!
Cheers!

Close... close but not the same!
I can't confirm that coil is having same inductances and resistances as XP coil.
...
Yet... somehow there is a place for suspicions, because: Velox TX inductance is as that higher than XP coil inductance - as Velox frequency is, at the same time, as that lower than XP GMP frequency! Ha!
Somehow those do suits logically!
Although... let's be serious: this indeed does not mean a thing yet.
To be more sure; we'll need to analyze it's circuitry.
Cheers!

Sooner or later somebody will do that and inform us!
So at the end there is one pretty sane question: was it worth to "protect" it like that?
I don't think so!
Bad idea!

Velox
I found on the web three videos aubut Velo One:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqgROvp_VZw
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQE_wM3SkhQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MECapmy9BbE&NR=1
Is this fake, or it's a new "Deus=GOD"?????
Or on tests is OK, but on the ground at detecting is unusable??
Have anyone experience about this detector?
Thx
