  • O, what version software did you put into the PIC?
I run v1.8 so could make a difference.
Also, there are several modes, I run in Mode 1.

I did not have a problem and received an email from him as well
no connection to him just thought I liked this thread so would order one.

            • Hi,
Firstly, thanks Teemo for his great work and sharing files.
I've just finished two boards. If someone is interrested into building SMD version (only 5.5cm X 2cm... and could be much less!! ), i share my work here.
I've added a BC848 transistor to get more power on the piezzo and i've taken off the diode which i don't know the use.
I power it with a single 3.7v battery with a dc to dc board (it can give more than 16v with 3.7v in and cost 1€ on ebay), see pictures.

                • Has anybody tried this detector under the sea?
I am wonder if is it is stable to work in that environment...

                  • Good evening! I assembled a ferrite head-470mkGn, length 100mm, made a chic case and what to say, I hastened to leave feedback, yes, I saw gold, yes, good range, but when I picked it up and waved it in the air, that's all the problems, constant workings. On the author’s board from the kit that he sells, you can see the third conclusion “-”, tried to shield the sensor, there is a constant, uninterrupted sound. Maybe he threw off such firmware ..., after all, for him it’s a commerce, but for himself he came to the conclusion that he is not suitable as an IDU with such work. Unfortunately, another disappointment uring ...Click image for larger version

                    • I do use this circuit with a ferrite rod as a Pin Pointer. Works very well.

It does how ever goes back into Calibration during which time it give an audio output. Simply hold it still and Cal finishes and it is ready.
This can happen when MOVED rapidly (guessing a wire or slight shift of the coil/rod happens) which causes a Falsing. And can happen if Cal'ed in air then moved to only slightly minerialized soil.

All this is due to this circuits extreme sensitivity to the slightest 'phase' shift of the coil/cap resonance.

This PCB layout is MISSING the PIC's ICSP header!
This leaves no way to connect a PICKit programmer to Flash the code.

                            • The microcircuit can be programmed through an adapter, it is not necessary that the pin pins on the board, only take up space. I don?t know how to insert the archive in the RAR message, here is the link of the Russian-language site where I posted this archive.
