Delta Pulse vs Barracuda vs Tiny

Hi,
Recently I built few simple projects, IB and BFO, to get along with MD mechanism, and learn more about "electronics" which is my priority.
Now i need to step up and build a good PI device for meteorite hunting, I need it to be very sensitive to iron and has a good depth, as I will hunt in sandy areas in the desert. I'm not asking for something fancy like PIM-2 or DP2, (for now, as i'm still learning about microcontroller programming or advanced scope tuning). I'm thinking about the normal "Delta Pulse" or "Barracuda legend" or "Tiny"(from pulsdetektor).

Well, I'm wondering what will be my best choice, I mean what's the best documented project between those three, knowing that i don't have a scope and i don't want to purchase a "kit", because i find pleasure etching my own PCBs, scavenging parts and build the project from scratch.

Thanks', I did some "research" about HH, but despite it's wealthy documentations and details here, -as i understood- it needs some skills for tuning that i won't offer, like tuning with a scope for example, i don't have a scope and currently still learning about using it before buying one..

If you are doing meteorite hunting, you may be better off with DP, as it was designed to use a 1100x1100 mm coil
it has slower wider pulses, where the Barra etc tend to be more coin machines.
How do you know there are meteorite's where you are planning to hunt ?

I will mostly use a regular round coil, though, say 30cm or so for easy "swinging" on rough terrain here.. How good DP over the cuda with small coils? and is it easier to build w/o a scope?

Well, I go hunt in the great Sahara desert, it's quite easy to pick up few mets by naked eye in deep far away land(not very common and easy as it sounds, but i mean if it's there then seeing them are relatively easy), then with precise strewn field drawings, research and a good plan, you "may" end up lucky after a hot sweaty day above the hot sand. I don't sell them anyway, I'm just an amateur geologist and collector..

Thanks', I just saw this. Very interesting,, Many martian and lunar rocks found across the Sahara from time to time. Unfortunately (for us) is that they does not contain any metals to be detected with a MD. Though, it is easy for expert eyes to sight them in the vast sand plains..
