PI's good on the beach but no good at discrimination.

Surf PI would be the way to go. If you really need discrimination, get ready to read for 6 months solid :P

relisted for new users. may be useful like a learning platform in VLF IB principle.

yes, VLF is universal. PI coil is simplest, but PI does not able to give you the disc FERROUS-NON-FERROUS. you will dig all trash.

                    one more think to ask...

any Tesoro coil has to work.. but I certainly have not a possibility to buy coils I see around and test with Cobra, no so rich man. try and share your result. get your first experience. TGSL Edu is King Cobra schematic, if you do not see this so you are misleaded. legendary... yes, it is legendary you are right.

I just love going to beaches where people have been using their MD with discriminator turned on,
I come along after them with a simple PI and pick up all the coins and jewellery and bottle caps and foil they left behind .

Mate at the beach , if it beeps dig it.

Look what 6666 tells you.... thats how it is for a salt beach, make a PI, not hard to do, and most succes.
And yes you need a strong back, but sand digs easy..

Later you can, for searsing on 'easy' land, make a project as that from KT315.., then you have 2 detectors one for the beach and one for inlands..thats the way it is I think
(only detecting some 40 years..and still a lot to learn...not ritch, no large nuggets here...)

                              Best regards and succes !
