YES I know this has been done before, and I know that the PI Forum wanted to see this, but I don't have the time to post of BOTH forums so I'll do it here.

Below is the captured signal of a Minelab Sovereign, and below it (if it works) is the FFT of the SAME waveform.

Just as I expected, The Sovereign cannot live upto the claims that it uses ALL the 17 frequencies.

You will see that the peaks are spaced @ 1.5KHz (well OK 1.6KHz) intervals, but the higher order amplitudes fall off quite a lot.

The FULL spectrum of the Sovereigns transmit signal extends WELL into the MHz region, but the plot is unreadable at those bandwidths.

If anyone is planning to experimant with this system, this info may well be of use to them.
