Hi. I am finishing my Bandido copy (again). Need to make a pole. What is the typical OD used ? I am about to buy some 1 1/4 16swg alu which seems about right ?

Wood is better, and you'll find wood processed at various diameters. Unlike plastic looking sticks that are often enforced with iron (
) wood is always ... wood. Make sure at least first foot or so is non-metallic.

I made my last unit from graphite golf shaft 65gram, the top half from ally crutch.
Hip mount the box for a 700gram detector = 9hrs without the chiropracter visit - even for out of condition has beens

Check out the White's site, they have a 3 piece pole set for $40, may be easier than trying to build something. It's listed in the parts section...Comment
